Pumpkin Spice Tea

So I am sure you all are familiar with pumpkin spice lattes or cappuccinos, BUT have you ever tried it with tea? So by now mixing cinnamon with tea shouldn’t be a surprise so, why not! It is also mostly advertised as a warm beverage, however, it is also great iced, whether it is a latte or an infusion, it can be rather cooling in that not so hot, but too warm for hot drink weather! I made a nice pitcher of tea (no milk) and left it in my fridge to chill my bones, works just great!

Ingredients

Method

Now pumpkin spice can be bought, however, you can follow this link if you want to make it yourself for one reason or another. It is basically a mix of cinnamonginger, nutmeg, cloves, and allspice.

So for the tea you simply need to boil some freshwater, let it sit for a few seconds, and then pour it on your black tea and pumpkin spice. Let it set and you’re good to go! Of course, let it cool down before you place it in your fridge if you want it chilled!

Variations

As always you can sweeten the deal with some honey or some vanilla, it will blend in perfectly. If you want more depth and notes to your tea, you can add some cardamom, fennel seeds, star aniseed, and even a hint of mild pepper. Of course, if you go overboard with the variations you will lose the pumpkin spice’s actual flavor, however, as always, it’s up to you what you are looking for in your tea! Hope you will give this tea a go, and if you already have tried it, feel free to let us know what you think of it!

Bottoms Up!!
