I crave sushi often, however, eating raw fish at home isn’t something I feel safe doing. So instead I went with a similar recipe to our Tuna Chunks. I also tried to do a side bowl of sticky rice… I failed miserably, but the rice was still good, just not as sticky rice! So here is what I’ve done today!
Ingredients
- Tuna
- Ginger
- Turmeric
- Lemon
- Garlic
- Chinese 5 Spice (optional)
- Balsamic Glaze (or Balsamic Vinegar and Honey)
- White Vinegar
- Soy Sauce
- Rice
Method
I seasoned my tuna with ginger, turmeric, lemon, garlic, and a sprinkle of Chinese 5 spice, and steamed it to keep all those lovely juices. I boiled some rice and mixed it with some balsamic glaze, soy sauce, and white vinegar.
Here I served the rice at the side, however, mixing the two together is also a good idea. Add some veggies for some extra crisp and nutrition. I would suggest avocado, cucumber, radish, carrots, and if you can find it, edamame beans to keep with the sushi feel!
